Is there a trick to gettting the computer back in the kick panel?

I put my chip in Friday and got it all hooked up right and running good then I went to put the comp back in the kick panel..

I have been fighting with it got about three hours. It WILL NOT go back in. I can stick my hand up there and nothing is up there. But as soon as I stick the comp in there is will stop so low that I can even put the plug on it. The corner that is held up by the white plastic bracket hangs a good 4 inches below the plastic piece. I am this close to slamming my ****ing computer against a wall.

shove it in there and just put your kickpanel back on

reach up in there. There should be some white plastic. Rip that thing out of there.

its a pain. Mine just sat on the floorboard for the longest time.

I've gotten it down to a system, but took me about 2 hours to figure it out. Its one of those things you can't explain, but work on it enough and you'll find the trick. Just need to work around the white plastic box and get it in.

I had to cut the bracket that holds it in and move it down a little.

WHY DID YOU NEED A CHIP?

take that white plastic thing out--worked for me.

use a small zip tie for the white plastic support.

mine sat on the passenger's floor for a year. i finally just crammed it up there as best i could and shoved the kick panel back on. it wasn't perfect, but it looked fine.
