I'm looking at a 98 mustang to buy for only $300 (three hundred).

The guy replaced the intake gasket and couldn't get it started after that for one (which i assume would be a vacuum leak or improper distributor re-installation because he said it ran prior. even has the intake manifold off in the back seat) .

I mainly just need a tutorial, or if you guys would be kind enough to instruct me on re installation.

Which motor is in it? Though neither the V6 or V8 in a '98 Mustang has a distributor .. If you can give more info-the better the answers you will get.lmr.com has some how to videos. And as always-YouTube lol

(*_*) oOh,. Candy . Lol.
And thank you for responding. Much.

Anyways, its a 1998 v6 Mustang. I am still new to it and will be checking it out next weekend. Can you believe he only wants $300 for it ? It's a small town and their are times where good legit cars seriously go that cheap. But some need work like this one with its' intake re-installation issue(which involves fuel rail and other reinstalls with it i believe.)

(i should include pics)

Picture 2: Some? of what is removed in the back seat. Fuel rail and intake manifold i believe? a fluid reservoir of some sort.

Sorry brother , meant to reply to your pics, and I got side tracked-and ultimately forgot.
I'm also sorry the lack of response to your thread has turned you away from this site. Honestly there is a ton of helpful info on here, a quick search on the site may have been useful to you. And might not of been .
Bought a Honda huh?
They are good, practical gas savers that should do your daily commute just fine. Good luck to you and any car repairs you make it in the future :)

Hey man IMO I would'nt even buy it, its not worth the trouble, he probably broke something and either A. Is too ignorant to see he has broken something or B. Knows he broke something and isnt telling you about it, Ive removed and replaced the intake on mine twice (1998 gt) and you dont really need to remove anything electrical, other than the alternator, that effects the cranking/starting of the engine, but then again for $300 its a good parts vehicle but for me i wouldnt mess with it, best of luck my friend
