Is there much of a sound difference on a dumped exhaust and one thats not?

Dumped ones are louder in the car right???
What are the main characteristics of one that goes over the axle????

yes, it will be quite a bit louder. inside and outside of the car.

The reason a dumped exhaust is louder is because the sound waves bounce off the pavement below you and right up into the cabin.

That is the only difference that I am aware of as far as sound.

i got mac shorty headers an offroad h pipe and flowmasters then dumps before the rear axle. It is a lot louder now then with tail pipes
