351w short block .40 over TRW Forged Pistons w/ balancer, gaskets, timing
cover, ARP ½” studs 154-4003 ($97) with a Ford Motorsport Camshaft
M-6250-A351 ($79.8 Advertised Duration 296/306, Lift .520/. 538 and a
Edelbrock 7820 ($47.95) True Double roller Chain $450 OBO Ford Blue
9:6-1 ratio
what do you guys think?

i love 351w. thats what i have in my stang. i'd say thats a steal. the machine work alone would cost you more let alone new pistons.

not a bad price. how many miles? why .040 over? pull that cam and go with one that has more lift. good starter motor to play around with to decide if you want stronger internals on the next motor if you decide to do so.

he said 15k i dont know why he bored it out .40 well i got it for 350. is their anything i need to get check out before i start building it?

in the valley of the block there is a frost plug type looking plug. it blocks the main oil gallery's. it is removed for cleaning them. make sure it is there. mine wasnt. needless to say the motor was in and out of my car 5 times for low oil pressure issues before a guy told me. i could have just pulled intake instead of replacing oil pump.
