Is this a piggy back pulley or not?

Is this a piggy back pulley or not?

The car I yanked it from had only this pulley and not crank pulley attached, however I don't see anything that looks like a damper, thus I think the crank pulley should be attached.

Appears that this is a piggyback crank pulley... I am assuming because of those little bolt holes on it, which are used to draw the stock damper and the UD pulley together.

That's what I thought too, but wanted to confirm because the car I pulled it from didn't use it as a piggy back (no damper at all). However, that engine had a bad rod bearing at the very front. Related?

Look like a set of older BBK pulleys. I have seen that style pulley installed without the balancer before. Owners are always suprised when I point it out. As for bad rod bearing, yes is probably related to lack of balancer.

Our cars have internally-balanced engines. The thing everyone calls a "balancer" is actually a vibration dampener which isolates the accessory drive system from the crank.
