no that is an aftermarket unit, probably stamped somewhere (eaton, auburn, the likes) a standard ford limited slip will have an s spring with 4 spider gears, with clutches on both sides.
It's a "limited slip" diff.
You can tell from the springs. Probably a clutch type, similar to the "Traction-Lok" Ford part.
I'm pretty sure conical units or locker units (rachet type) don't use springs in that position.
I have a Torsen in my truck, and it doesn't have any such springs.
Open units also have no springs.
Thanks for being one of the first people I've seen in I don't know how long to call the Ford limited slip by it's proper moniker. I can't even count how many times I've heard them reffered to incorrectly as a "Posi-trac".
