Ok....I finally have my new MAC 3" on.

First. It's LOUD!

Second, it sounds great.

Third.............Ok....Question 1.

1) I let my dad drive it, getting on it a bit so I could hear it, and when he passed me I smelled raw fuel. Is that normal?

2) Also....when he let off, little bluish/grey puffs(one on each pipe, simultaneously) of smoke swirled out of the tail pipes almost like mini tornadoes....then went back in when he resumed normal acceleration.

Was that oil, or just the raw fuel???

Is that normal??

Oil consumption is non existant and my oil pressure is great.

I hope it wasn't oil.

What was the A/F ratio of your last tune? Under heavy acceleration a good safe tune is throwing a lot of fuel into the motor to prevent detonation and to keep it running cool. You will smell it because it's running richer than non-supercharged cars.

As for the smoke I'll bet that's just the oil inside of your new exhaust burning off. Your new cat back should stop smoking after a few runs I would imagine.

Yeah....my AF was 11.3-11.5:1

The cat back is now about 50 miles old with maybe 4 hard runs...

It doesn't smoke on start up and my oil consumption is still 0.

I am gonna check my plugs today for any deposits and do a compression check just to eas my worries.

Thanks U.M.
