Is this ECU all this guy claims? (eBay)

I think that's a decent price for a PE. I wouldn't worry too much about the soldered terminal for the case ground - should be alright. True, it is the most aggressive computer for the 2.3's, but unless you're building a full on race car, you can find an LA2 or LA3 for about half that. Even if you were building a race car, you'd probably want to go with a standalone anyway.

I don't really think the more aggressive timing and fuel maps in the PE make that much difference in a street application. If it were me, I'd look for a good cheap LA series unit. Just my .02.
