Its a 2000 Black Mustang GT 56,000 miles on it....Leather interior, Mach Sound, 5 speed $12,000:shrug: .... If not what do you think a decent price would be to pay for this car...

1.) Bring print-outs of all of the research / data you can find about the car. Including all of the different car-values you can find. This cuts the B.S. the car people will sling out you, because you are showing them you are informed / have done your homework.

2.) State a price you'll pay, and don't negociate.

3.) If not answered to what you want, walk away--and shoot out a parting phrase, "Autotrader.com, vehix.com, carpoint.com, etc. are only a click-away..."

Done. You'll either get a guy frantic to make a sale, get a guy who will "make you sweat over your decision" (he's thinking...) and call you back at home trying to negociate further, or you'll end up with the car you want at the price you want to pay.

Just need to stick to your guns and not try to make a life-long friend with the car dealer. They're there to make a buck, so you are the one who needs to be pleased.

Good luck.
