You still need to put RTV around that port or it could leak. Other than that it is OK.

those gaskets seal up pretty well, when i put mine in i only used 2 small dabs on the front and back of each head to hold them inplace.

but if your worried about it i would put a thin layer on the head in this area

Not sure if this was intentional, but that gasket is on upside down, eh? The tabs of the intake gasket lock in with the tabs of the head gasket.

I put those type gaskets with the beads around each port on dry. But like urban96 said, nothing wrong with a *thin* coat of RTV around the water ports as well.

Good eye Wes! Yeah flip it over. I put a thin coat around my water ports with gaskets just like those and havent had a problem.

I was curious because i did a crappy job of trimming the gasket I was worried about so much aluminum beign exposed but if you guys think there fine i'll dad a little RTV on the water ports and call it a day, oh and LOL i know their upside down it was just for the pics,

Yes that little hootus hopper tab thingie on top is supposed to lock into
the hg to help keep it in place during installation

That is ... if you flip it around like it is supposed to be

Now ... if you do that ........

Look to see if it throws off the port alignment and covers up the port

If it does ... cut the tabs off and adjust accordingly :Word:

Your welcome for that little ... Super Secret ... High Horse Power tip
