Is this problem common in a 07 v6 Mustang?

Hello, I'm completely new to the Mustang World, mainly because there weren't mustangs at all where I used to live.
I started with a stock 2007 V6, and I really like it. Well the thing is that when I leave the car on neutral and start accelerating, as soon as the rpm meter reaches the 4k mark, the car starts shaking really bad, and I can hear something moving/hitting and going crazy at the back of the car (where the exhaust is). Oh, and the rpm indicator starts bouncing against the 4k mark and won't go beyong it.
I don't know about here but in my country every manual car would reach it's rpm peak without problems.
Maybe cars in the united states have rpm limiters, I don't really know.
Is this normal or should I take it to the dealer and use my still current warranty to fix it?

The car's computer limits the RPMs in neutral to 4000 rpms so you don't accidentally blow up the engine.
