If you are talking about the Nissan Skyline, the answer is false.

If it has a parachute and runs in the 8's, I would not call it rice. Unless it had a double stack ironing board and 5 angled stickers. Youve got to appreciate any car that fast. Im sure hes got 70k or so into the car. So of course you could go faster with a BB mustang, but its still very cool.

I have a great deal of respect for Supras and Skylines. I love those cars.

The engine probably has about $30-$40k into it. Making the AWD not crumble is the hard part...I know people will say it's RWD, but he did the burnout with the ATTESA off, then activated it and launched with the AWD. With an auto it would be at least .3 seconds quicker.

Rice is basicly a civic, sentra, accord etc with a huge wing and a fart can. A car such as a Skyline, Supra, EVO, WRX are NOT rice. Those actually can/make nice power, but I would still never own one.

I saw one at a light, an integra was revving at it and the guy just sat there, then I thought I would join in the fun and revved, he smiled and revved back, it was tight.

ya skylines are awd there are pepole that make chips to switch off the power to the front diff so you can burn the rears and then turn it back on.

Damn. Any car that looks that unassuming (minus the 'chute of course ) and puts down 8's at the track is definitely not rice. Unless you define all modified Japanese imports as rice as some people do. Looks like he wasn't even pushing it as hard as he could have.

I didn't think it was rice. I realize this is "stangnet",but I am a huge fan of skylines and supras. I had a mkIII supra turbo for awhile, then realized that the 7MGTE is alot harder to make fast than the 2JZ so I sold it and now here I am on a mustang kick again (3rd fox),because I cannot afford a mkIV. I only posted "is this rice?" because, in reading posts on this site, it seems that alot of mustang guys are just that "mustang guys" not true performance enthusiasts. Alot of haters. Kinda makes me chuckle. I love anything fast, especially if its going real frickin fast with a real little motor.
