found a charger locally for my car. It is a Paxton SN92 with all the brackets, belt, plumbing for 1K used. he dosn't really know how many miles are on it but it does look fairly clean (maby it was well kept or washed who knows)
he sent me a few pics but he said he never used it since he installed it on the car. Also he bought it used

what do you guys think
and is the SN92 even any good
do they need an oil line or are they sealed with oil in them

I believe the sn92 is a older model super charger. It is not a self contained unit, so you will have to have a feed and drain for the oil.

The sn series blowers are self contained and use type F tranny fluid, ball bearings and enertia to make boost instead of helical cut gears. They can make a solid 7lbs but require alot of crank drag to make work which essentially is robbing the motor of power. In a nutshell if you can get it for dirt grab it and some 24's a 255 intank and have fun with your extra 40 horse but there are a lot more effecient ways to make 40 horsepower.

Look at that dinosaur, lol. Dude if you can get it for 1000 or so, offer him a little less. i think it would be worth it.

And DREAMZ turn off your damn caps lock, every post you have is capital letters, its really annoying.

if its only going to get you 40 hp like stated above I would get h/c/i and make more power that way.

Wow, that is old. How cheap is it? If you can get it for dirt cheap it MAY be worth it.

he said $1000...that's CDN. he might go down a little but I don't know. I think I would rather save and go H/C/I and try to make good power N/A than maby charge it.

Pass.....those old SN series blowers are good for nothing more than glorified paper weights (sorry for the dig to anyone who's got one). And 7psi is being generous with them and thats choking it through the stock exhaust. You'll never see the kind of power you'll want out of it....and for $1,000 .....this guys is smoking paint chips. That blower is at least 10-years-old and probably didn't go for much more than twice that new.

Why don't you buy Mikes old Twin Turbo kit Rolly. Just make sure you find someone who knows what they're doing to tune it for you.

lol that kit was a plumbing nightmare....I worked on it a few times lol.

if I was to go turbo it would be single

Mike was in yesterday asking if I wanted some 351W parts that he isn't going to need anymore. I wouldn't mind the enging that is in his car right now to build it for my coupe but that won't be for a few years yet

It uses the same plumbing and brackets as the Vortech blowers that was during the split and the brackets are virtually identical they do not use a blow off valve though that makes life a little easier I run 12.60's with one with ported stock heads and an X cam back in the day. Tell him you will give him $700.00

Save the dough for an s trim... if hed let it go for 7 then id do it ,,but if not give that 1000 to a good trusting person tlel them to hold it,,,save another 500 n hit up the classifieds,,youll be happier with an s trim.. 2 Months ago on ebay i saw a novi go for 1300 polished head unit polished discharge tube... anderson power pipe...8 rib setup...... dont rush into buying the "hot deal" cuz there "hotter" ones out there.
