I like it. :) Lambo doors IMO are not rice. However, that would cause a certain amount of logistical problems with trying to squeeze my disabled mom in there.

i think it looks sweeet, but thats just me. i like stuff that is kinda set apart from the crowd. i would do it to my mustang when it comes but i just cant fork over a few g's just to take off the doors and put them back on.. thats just me.. i wish i had that kinda cash laying around to do that tho

I don't see what everyone's big problem is with scissor doors. What if ricers didn't abuse them and slap them on Civics and Lamborghinis didn't have them, would you still think they are stupid on a Mustang?

There is a guy here in N. Va (Steve at Vertex motors) that can put Lambo doors on just about anything. His doors go 90 degrees, though, not the weak 45 shown above. $5K to do them, but really good work. Would I do it? No. Do I still think thay are pretty cool. Sure. I don't necessarily think they are rice, either, just a reflectiuon of tastes different than mine.

Seems wrong on a mustang. The stang is a low-priced, medium powered car. Scissor doors are high-priced, and offer no performance gain. Plus, the doors weren't aesthetically designed for that.

But whatever floats your boat....

The doors have a "ooh look at me" factor, but otherwise I think it's crazy to spend that kind of money to change how your doors open. Think of all the performance mods you can do for +$5k.

Not to change the subject, but I want to comment about the "rice" term being used commonly on this forum. I'm asian-american, and I love my Mustang. When someone says that's "rice", I understand what they're saying, that it's a typical import modification that does little for performance, not done in good taste, etc. I try not to get offended, because I don't think anyone is intentionally trying to offend Asians, but it gets pretty old reading the "rice" connotation in posts to insult a vehicle or mod.

I love rice. I eat it every day. I love my car. I drive it every day. I love America. Try not to alienate the diversity that makes America the greatest country in the world.

When I see a Civic or Integra with tasteless mods, like a huge stupid-looking wing spoiler or clear taillights when the car still has plastic wheel covers, I say "That looks like @#$#". I make my point that I dislike what I'm seeing, without making a jab (intentional or not) at the driver's ethnicity. Sorry to get on a soap-box, just wanting to make a point.
