Is this the best price for an intake swap kit? It's going from a NPI intake to a PI intake WITH the adapter plates. I have been hearing alot about the intake swap but have been concerned with the gasket's not sealing well. Any better prices than this?

At that price you're not to far away from a complete headswap or a FRPP intake that will bolt right on without adapters.

I wouldn't pull the trigger on that deal if I were you. That kit is really for the blower guys, are you planning on a turbo/supercharger?

Than what's the rage about NPI people swapping the intakes out for the PI intakes. Note that these people are NOT blown.

I heard that an adapter is not necessary. Check out the posts on www.modulardepot.com

Read the posts before, that's where the idea came from. However, still too much debate on using NPI or PI gasket. NEITHER of which seems to fit just right and have already heard alot of stories about them not sealing up well. Don't feel like tearing it back apart to try and fix it. Although the cost savings IF you can get it to seat up just right the first time around is more than worth it.

there is no way you should pay $650 for that. the intake alone is only about $110. get some PI heads for that kind of money.

N/A applications don't need the adapters. Just use the NPI intake gaskets.
