ok if someone can answer the following questions ill give you a cookie :

1) is it true that an x's flow is superior over an h's flow thus giving better hp and torque gains? if so why? how much better is this x over the stock h?

2) also, to those who own this particular midpipe, is there an x on mustangexhaust.com that can compare to this in sound?

muchas gracias amigos

1) yes it is true. o/r xpipes will flow better than the crappy, restrictive stock hpipe. I can tell a SOTP gain. easier to spin tires, pulls harder in upper RPMs

2) the mustangtuning.com o/r xpipe is awesome.sounds sooo bad ass w/ the flowmasters

now wheres that cookie

bump im curious too. It's a true X and the placement looks pretty close to the manifolds... would it have anything on a Dr. Gas?

actually the dr. gas has the x place closer to the manifolds if you look at that pic the x is clear back by the mufflers.

I have seen one other company that is similar to the dr. gas but I can't remeber which one.

and as far as power my x-pipe was more noticable power gain to me than the cat back.

Look at the junction of the hpipe and the xpipe....it should be pretty easy to tell why it flows better. to hear xpipes go to www.mustangexhaust.com

thats better i guess. so for $149 this should go well with the american thunder while give my car some more muscle right? as far as mustangexhaust.com goes, i heard a clip. they really dont have that much selection for x's and the a/t. but, an 03 mach 1 sounded sick with a bassani o/r x and the a/t. i guess my 00 gt should sound good with this x and the a/t.

The MustangTuning Catted X pipe is about $269.
I have conflicting thoughts about aquiring this x pipe.
My saying is "you pay $hit, you get shyt!
Is this midpipe good? so far I have seen nothing bad about it? Will it last long????

I guess imma get that MustangTunin Catted X pipe then. Its really in my budget! I hope it sounds evil...I know it wont sound as loud as the O/R x pipe....but any aftermarket catted X pipe should make the exhaust even louder huh?

How much louder is an offroad pipe compared to one with just two high-flow cats?

I can promise you the quality and design is comparable or better than most on the market. Why so cheap? How many of you have heard of the brand PYPES? We felt the only way to open some eyes was to make these crossovers so cheap, you can't help but try them. Currently we have only a few dealers. Mustang Tuning is one that took a chance on us. I can also promise(unfortunately) that the prices will be much higher after our Fall Ad campaign is launched and Las Vegas SEMA show official introduction. The price will still be very reasonable but right now they are a bargain.

wow..its an actual pypes rep!

hey rep..have u heard your catted x pipe pared up with the American Thunder cat back...how does it sound? does it sound mean and nasty like the way i like it?

Oh...and your prices will go up after fall? what a bummer for us and ya'll!
I can also gaurantee that if your prices are close to Dr gas or magnaflow or bassani...I would rather take those other pipes than yourz.

pypesexhaust you make an excellent x pipe i can tell a definite difference between your catted x and the stock h. i have single chambers and i know i can hear my car over a 1/2 mile away. do you have any plans to make a catted h, i know you maken offroad h for 99s and up why not make 4 extra cuts and throw the cats in. hell id buy it too. the x is about 3 months old on my car and it still looks new. please make a catted h too for the 99s and up you would sell a helluva lot of em. the only catted h's are mac, bbk, and mrt
sketchy quality sometimes onmac and bbk and mrt is stainless and almost 500. if you had a catted h priced for 270 people would love you

Well, We like to think that our catted x mated with the 'Pypes' Cat back sounds MORE mean and nasty! but, yes, removing the factory H and replacing it with most any of the quality aftermarket X pipe totally wakes up your Mustang.

As far as the price increase, I can tell you there will still be a significant advantage to going with Pypes.

Actually we only make the H for 86-93 and 94-95. On our off road versions you could easily add our 7" mini cats exactly how you mention above. With the cats you'd have less than $250 into a street legal H.
