Just need some feedback on these cams as far as if they have low vacuum at idle, and overall drivability.

Depends on what your are looking for. What size engine/transmission/rear axle do you have and which one of the Mega Cams are you referring to?

I'm looking at an Isky 280 mega for a 393 Stroker,C4 with a 2500 stall,and a 9 inch with 3.50 gears.

That's a pretty hot camshaft. 232 degrees @ .050" lift with a .517" lift on both intake and exhaust. Very low idle vacuum, extreme lope at idle and no low end torque. You will nee more that 3.50:1 gears to get moving with this one. You will also almost need an open exhaust. This thing will rev up to 6500-7000 RPM. Gas mileage is non-existant with this monster.

I have a Isky cam its a 264* with .601 lift on a 108 centerline, ran like crap until the blower, but the power is not really there till about 3500 where it just pulls like a 2 stroke to about 8000 RPM.Not really what I wanted, but i got impatient as the cam grinder was taking too long.Im sure their "smaller" cams are better for cruising

I have the next smaller isky cam in my car. Still called the "MEGA" series. It's basically the same thing except 228* @ .05" with about 0.5" total lift.

Even mine is a bit much for a street vehicle. Idle vacum is poor and because of this off-idle responce sucks. Sounds mean as heck at idle, and makes good power after 2500RPM.
