When you stop by your moms house to say hi...

and notice the UPS man has dropped off a box labeled "summit".

I didn't specifically ASK for any car parts... nor have I hinted around at what I need/want... Kinda makes you think.. where is she getting her insider information from...

wanted to open it.. but didnt.

it was the smaller 12X10X5 or so boxes... maybe weighed a whole 5lbs... wtf could it be

That's odd. I didn't see the box at all.

What really kills me is when someone who knows nothing about cars gets me a car gift....like some nice ricer pedel covers from Walmart or something...lol. You know they were really trying and it was really thoughtful, but you'd rather burn your car to the ground than to put them on...lol.

I also hate getting cheap tools as a gift...i can't stand using cheap tools.

+ Infinity! lol

I cant stand watching nascar except for the crash compilations I see online and everytime I see it on Speed Channel I comment "damn not Nascar again!"
Well last year they bought me a ticket to go see Nascar at Richmond... I sold it on Craigslist... Ive told them never to buy me anything for my car unless its a gift card or something. lol They did get me the Meguiars Pro Kit thing which is sweet.

Jeese! You guys are a bunch of rookies. What you do is buy your wife or girlfriend tools! What that? She doesn't want em???? Fine... you'll keep em then.

I just put the item or part I want on a list. Followed by directions to the store that sells it, or the url to the site that sells it, and the price.

Daggar's idea is classic. The only draw back is the possiblity of her getting pissed off. However, if that happens, who cares. You'll be using the new tools all day.

So what do you do when she WANTS that huge Craftsman tool set you bought her, and you're not allowed to touch her tools?

I have a question for you... If you hate getting cheap tools as gifts, why would you give someone cheap tools as a gift?

By the way, the only Craftsman tool i've EVER broke, was a 3/8 joint knuckle and that's only because i used it with a cheater bar and over torqued it and twisted it and it broke...and guess what? They STILL replaced it.

well..

I was talking to my little bro on the phone today... apparently everyone in the family called him for gift ideas for me...

I guess I made some comment like "I'd rather get gifts than money on christmas" during thanksgiving and everyone took it to heart. So, basically my lil bro made my christmas list and gave it to everyone without me knowing. He is a mechanic/car nut so I'm guessing this christmas wont be so bad..

I want to measure mine. It doesn't look that tall.
