Grades went up today and its official... i actually graduated college!!! lol. I was kind of unsure about 2 of my classes because until november I was told I couldn't graduate because I was missing a required class. Well needless to say I partied a lot more and didnt care about my classes. Well I ended up filling out some paperwork and they approved me since I had a bunch of classes higher than the one I was missing. The actual graduation was on Sunday, Dec 17th and man was that boring but being the first in my family to get a degree my parents had to see me walk. Graduated with a BA in criminology and a minor in sociology. Now I just gotta figure out the job situation.

Congrats!!!

College is no walk in the park, getting a degree is definitely an accomplishment.

I just recently switched my major from Engineering to Pre Med. I've got a long hard road ahead of me.

Congrats man. Now the fun begins...looking for something that will underpay, overwork, and frustrate you for a few years until you have enough exp. to do the opposite

Been out almost 2yrs, going to go back in finish my psych. degree this summer myself (current job pays 100% of any bach. and 80% of masters if its related to the company) I will have a minor in CJ when I finish my psych. degree. Might try for a masters in psych...dunno if I can take the nuts in the major though .

My mother was the 1st person in like 200yrs in my family NOT to go college and the 2nd or 3rd NOT to get a degree...sucks when your part of the "retard" line of the family .

I just switched my major too as well from CIS to computer science with a minor in criminology, ive got a long road ahead of me as well.

damn white stallion thats a huge change there.. engineering to med?

The route im going now im very happy with, but if I could go back in time (and have alot of extra money) I would definitely think about an anesthisiologist... they make BANK

I originally wanted to be a systems analyst with a CIS degree, but I took a closer look this year and decided I would be bored out of my skull doing some of the work they do(you get paid well though). Im getting into computer forensics now which is more specialized and I feel I will be much happier doing it

Same here! Its been a long-ass journey, started university in 2001 and I'm finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. 6.5 years to finish a Bachelor's of Materials Engineering is long, but I've been lucky to catch a few internships (including the 8-month one I am starting in 2 weeks) along the way, which pushed my graduation date back a couple years.

Congrats to you, chaos, I know what it must feel like since most of my friends just graduated. It is a big accomplishment, no walk in the park thats for sure.

Yeah, Engineering to Medical is a huge change. I originally wanted to do pre med, but I did Engineering because VT has one of the best engineering programs in the nation. Yeah, decided it wasn't what I wanted to do, so I switched.

I plan on being bald by the time I'm done with school.
