So today our car club (SVTOA/Seattle) had it's Christmas party. 16 people attended including Bill (Bill89Saleen304) and Dennis (SEMA88) and we had it at Whirlyball, which is a BLAST to play. Highly recommended. As we were finishing up my wife waved me over to a table in a corner and made me sit. She opened up a sack and handed me a wrapped package. What the hell? I opened it to find a box of Kleenex. She handed me another. A paper bag with "priceless" written on it. WTF? At this point, Dennis hands me a set of keys and tells me to go out and check out my new car. I stepped to the front of the lobby and found this parked out front with a big, red bow on the antenna:

Oh. My. God.

What you see before you is 93-0016 purchased from Rich Pearlman in Florida. My wife snuck around with Dennis and his wife Tamara for the last month checking out various Saleens. They even went to the extent to fly to Portland one day while I was at work to check one out that ended up not being up to Dennis's snuff. Apparently, LuAnn (my wife) stumbled upon Rich's car on some obscure "cars for sale" site and asked Dennis if it was a good one. It was.

I've always had a jones for a teal 93 Cobra. I guess a Calypso Green Saleen will do nicely.

Merry freakin' Christmas to me.

Now you have a little addition for your signature.

On another note, does your wife have any single sisters?

Dave, I seem to know all the litttle secert plans the two of you always have for each other and even I had know idea this was in the works. She really did it goood this time. I guess your real problem now is where to park all the cars, not that its a bad problem to have.

Wow, now that is some amasming stuff Dave.

Funny thing is, with your purchase of the Saleen, that means every '93 Calypso Green Saleen has been sold in the calender year of 2007. WICKED!

Congrads. I know this car, and you will enjoy it.

Dennis was telling me that at dinner last night. You shouldn't expect to see this one back on the market for about 30 years or so.

Hope to see you guys some time this summer.

Wow Dave that is awesome!!! A buddy of mine had to give up his 93 Calypso Green Saleen because of his wife (now ex-wife) and you go and end up getting one from yours. Funny how things work.
That is one beautiful car though, I much coveted my friends car as Im sure I will yours.

I stopped by Dave's place this afternoon and and I nearly crapped my pants when I saw it in the driveway. I figured it was beening stored there for someone else. This is truley a badass car! We went for a little cruise and I could not believe how nice this thing is! After ridding in this, I've some thought about selling the SSP for a fox Saleen. Congrats Dave!! LuAnn is one very special lady.

This is the reason the price is starting to go Northward. 12-15K would have bought you a very nice 89-93 Fox Saleen 2 yrs ago. Now, 18-20k buys you the same car. That is nearly a 30% increase in market value. Does not matter if people disagree with it, bottom line, data does not lie. Great investment to say the least!

Dave, you'll need to bring yourself down this way at least 1x in '08. I will be up that way for the Round up wkend so we'll have to get together
