I took my car out for the day and it drove great on my way out. But on my way back I sat in traffic for about an hour. Just after that when I give it full throttle its seems's to just rev and not go any faster after about 3000rpm. Mabey even less.
I almost puts you forward in your seat when it happens. Same kind of felling when the clutch goes. Just revs but doesn't go. Could the clutch go on me within about an hours time? I checked my mass air and its clean. Going to chek the fuel filter next

Sounds like the clutch got hot. Let it cool back down and try it again.

Don't waste your time screwing around with that other stuff. Your clutch is toast.

I would say the clutch is the issue. Was there any smell like burnt clutch?

It's driving fine now...got a speeding icket today to prove it.
There was no burnt smell, I have owned the car for about 8 years now and never changed it before, they guy before me had it for 3 years and never changed it. So it's about 11-12 years old.

I'm going to try and go find a nice big hill to rip up and see if she slips.

Thinkin 88mouse might be right. Might of gottin too hot.
