Does anyone know how the IUP panels are attached.. and if you can buy them separately..?
I was doing my usual nightly browsing of articals and pics when I ran across of a pic from the 2004 sema show..
They took a Roush and painted the IUP kit the same color as the car..
I have a black car with the dark charcoal interior.. I thought that the mix between the dark charcoal interior and a shiny black IUP kit would make for a different look ..
To pull this off correctly I would need to switch the vents to the basic black ones.. and just leave the chrome rings around them..
They sell a flat piece that would go over the center area of the dash around the radio / buttons etc.. I would also paint that to match..
Basically the top of the entire dash.. ( the IUP part ) and the center console area would be painted with the same auto paint as the car..
If I can find out how these panels are attached.. and if I can buy "spares" from Ford.. I would buy them.. paint them.. then.. I would replace the originals and save the originals in case I didnt like the look ..
