Jasper 5.0's

anybody have any experience with them, or have some good info about em?

i have a jasper 3.8 s/c motor in my tbird (installed by previous owner) and it is a strong motor but it has a mysterious oil consumption

my cousin has a jasper 4.0 in his jeep and it started to leek oil from the rear seal at just 30k

I've heard they are a reputable company. Been around like 60 years and are one of the largest suppliers of remanufactured engines. I was told but haven't verified that their 5.0's are the non H.O. type

My work used them a lot, they arn't the worse, but by far not the best.

hrmm, about the non H.O. i guess i will be able to determine that when it gets back from the shop by checking the firing order? Also, what about them is not the best.

anybody? know more about the HO part, and if it's not an HO, would the firing order shed light on that?
