Clip isn't going to tell you anything -- first off the sound quality on most of them is terrible. Second, there are MANY other factors that impact sound besides the exhaust system --- unless you know EXACTLY the combination that was on the car on the clip, you don't know what it's gonna sound like on yours. Lastly, most clips are recorded from outside the car. What they sound like inside can be entirely different -- especially with regard to things like resonances and booming.
I've experimented with over $1300 worth of different mufflers, resonators, systems on my car. I finally got a system/sound level I was comfortable with. Clips and even listening to other cars with 'the same' mufflers didn't help a bit. At some point you just have to try it -- and then be prepared to move on to something else if you don't like it. Not much way around that.
