WTF I was checking out JBA's website, for some shorty headers and they want like $928 . Hell for that I might as well not lower the stang and go with some Hooker Long tube. Is this true is this the real price or can I ge them some where else cheaper.

There are plenty of people with 1.5"-2" drops with long tubes. I wouldn't mess with shorties.

yea you can find them cheaper, just do a little research.

are you sure you werent looking at the titanium ceramic coated ones?

and if you can, get LT's, more hp.

JBA makes a mid length header now. I think it's around $500 for stainless and it's got a CARB number.

yup... my last gt had a 1 1/2 in drop & longtubes with no problems what-so-ever. & soon i'll have the same setup on my new one just waiting on a empty heated garage or some time to open up at my local speed shop

imo.... shorties are a waste, by all the dyno sheets i've seen with em unless they are on a boosted car, then they do help, but i think the l/t's would help that much more

So what are some other good headers beside Hooker???(expensive but really nice)... I also have a Prochamber can I still keep that with L/T???

I just got off the phone with a JBA tech.

He told me that the 2v mid length headers are 2-3 months out

Not CARB certified.

Part number is 6623-S

Forgot to ask how much.

go to summit. they have the 409 stainless jba headers for like $525. that is not great but not horrible. that $900000 price is jba's price. I don't know who would pay that.

I will stay with shorties because I don't want to have to mess with my headers to do tranny or clutch work. I know the hookers alow for this but I just did not like the look of them. personal opinion.

Probably the best price I've seen on JBA Headers is on www.hopupracing.com. Granted, it is a predominantly ricer "performance" website, but they have silver ceramic coated headers from JBA for $581.00. I did a yahoo search for JBA headers and clicked on everything that came up and stopped when I found this one (I'm getting my set this weekend or early next week).

Where did you get your from? Are the Mac shorty headers anygood? I just want to go with shorties b/c of my prochamber. It keeps coming loose from the drivers side, and it sound like metal on metal rattling when I get on it?? So I thought if I could could get some headers it would fix this problem.

MRT has the new JBA midlength headers with a matching SS shorty H-pipe. The JBA midlengths are suppose to produce good power (probably not as much as long tubes, but close). The benefit is clutch/tranny access.

Hooker has a great product & tranny access. However, I've heard 5 people complain about leaks because of the "slip-fit" design. Granted, thats only 5 complaints with many others happy.

the JBA midlengths aren't legal for us cali guys, and right now the 2v versions are in the final prototype phases of testing.

mac doesn't make shorties for the 4.6. they did testing on them & since they didn't make any power they decided not to make them. so longtubes it was

I got my JBA shorties(the chrome ones) for $379 at performancecenter.com They were having a sale and I got lucky - their normal price is $439 I think. Hope that helps.

Partsshopper (this site) has them for $479 or $499 if I recall correctly. Always nice to send some business to the guy who runs this forum for us for free. Whenever possible buy here - I do.
