i'm looking into JBA options instead of Doug's Tri-Y's for my built engine. i have 4-speed M/T and in the future will put in a 5-speed M/T. questions:

1. if i get the 4-speed JBA long tube headers now, will i have a fitment issue later with the 5-speed M/T?
2. are the JBA Tri-Y's good for the street?
3. is there street performance loss if i get the mid-length headers?

1. possibly. 2. yes. 3. I doubt you could tell the difference between the two sets unless you ran both on a dyno. I ran Shelby type Tri-Y's on my 331 in the Ranger and had no regrets, and they had smaller tubes.

I'm curious why JBA's over doug's? Are the JBA's cheaper? I've got the doug's for a C4 and they are a great fit.

all JBA headers as i know of are stainless steel with or w/out ceramic coating... more expensive.
