Shows I'm a newbie to this board! First post and it's already in the wrong forum! I must've hit the wrong "New Thread" button, but now I know! Anyway, I'm the new owner of an '84 Mustang GLX and I can't say enough good things about it!
My main question is this: Are there any quirks about this model that I need to know about? Like how it doesn't want to turn over too well after the engine has heated up. I drove it 22 miles, parked it, and it had a heckuva time turning over to put it into the wash bay here at work. It still turned over, but it almost sounded like the battery was drained (though it wasn't). And there is a STRONG fuel smell (I've smelled the same thing in other cars of this era, like my old '85 F-150). The car needs very little in the way of mechnical care, runs like a champ! Only needs some cosmetic fix-ups, like a new convertible top and paint. Just wanted to say "Hello" to you all and say that now, after having driven a Mustang, I know why people love them so much!
