Ok, so i was wondering, instead of tapping the whole for the sensor and dealing with all that crap from the explorer intake, what do you think if i sell it for a good 150 maybe 200 if i get real lucky, and save up some money and buy this

Maybe a nice porting in the near future. I was looking at the Comp Polymers one and its like 325. Bit too much. Not sure if its that great of a diff anyways.

Lmao, i just noticed the comp one includes a VHS instructional video. I think i would pay $25 for a VHS

Don't buy either one. Unless your running a blower you will only lose power. A 302 needs the long intake runners for the low end tq.

didnt you just install your explorer intake? what is your burning desire to get a new one already.
do a search on that box intake, or any box intake for that matter and I think you will change your mind about wanting it.

i was installing it, when i realized i needed to tap the hole, so im waiting to get the gt40 heads before installing it.

damn, i see what you mean, kills my low end power. I love that part of my car, so screw it, no powerbox style intakes for me. any suggestions for around that price?

a larger intake than the explorer will be mismatched to your car and will kill your performance and your gas mileage. do a search for different set ups and see what is out there. a better place to post this would be in tech. Also hit up Tmoss and ask him about having the explorer ported.

i know what im going to do. im not gonna buy anything else, and sell my explorer intake and a couple things i have laying around and buy myself a TFS track heat kit. its pricey but worth it. i just need a few extra parts and my total will be around 3600. thats going with catalog price though.

just out of curiosity what has made you settle on the track heat???

what are your other supporting mods?

seemed like the best pick over the systemax or buying it all seperate. the things i have to buy on the side are the TB, full exhaust, EGR plate for the TB (70mm), lifters, 24 lb injectors, a better fuel pump (prob. 255lph), and an adjus. FPR.

fyi keep the 19's you dont need 24's for a tfs topend kit with the stage 1 cam...

yeah, sorry about that, they gave me an infraction for having it over the limit size. but i have stock heads at the moment.

save up for a decent set of heads or you arent going to gain a thing with the TFS intake. I would also look at the street heat intake as an option over the track heat. but honestly a ported cobra/explorer intake will flow with the TFS intakes and it should only cost around 100 or so plus shipping to have tmoss open it up for you.
