I dont know which is better, but I just ordered the jlt kit. Mainly because of looks and it seems to flow better as it is a bit bigger, although Im sure they both flow well. Alot of guys run these units and seem to be 2 of the top three choices...along with demolet system. If horsepower is what u r looking for, I wouldnt expect more than 5-10rwhp at best from either 1.

I had a filter and removed silencer like you. Instead of spending 200 or so bucks, i just added a Throttle body pipe to finish the job. $65 shipped from tunable induction (demolet).

i am going to add a pipe like you did. at some point i plan on fabing up a peice like the silencer but much wider and fit it into the inner fender. when i do that i will open up the hole in the inner fender and also open up the opening in the stock air box.

JLT hands down. Ask DerekstangGT. He has the FIPK, and we saw a JLT at the car show. Needless to say I bought one and am VERY happy with it.

I got the K&N FIPK. It's a direct fit. K&N is a reliable company. It comes with the CARB sticker so it's smog legal. It may not look the best, but it performs. I got mine on ebay for $100. If you want a better bang for your buck go with gears or headers.

Performance wise the JLT and the K&N FIPK are very, very close. The K&N unit is C.A.R.B. certified if any of you care about those things. The JLT is more customizable than the K&N and the JLT customer support is better too. You can't go wrong with either.

it looks like its made of metal. If it is you would probably loose hp because of the heat exchange

I went with K&N FIPK only a couple comments after install this weekend, performance wise seams good.
However install was a bit of a pain in the neck you need to do a bit of force it here and there to get it set in and the brackets didn't not fit properly on mine so I am only using one. Also I am not sure how the things seals properly but still sounds good.

JLT RAI. According to the owners last comment i heard, the CAI kit doesnt make much of any power. the RAI is the one that made like 12RWHP on a bolton GT. Im almost 100% sure that was vs a K&N dropin. The runs were on the same day, best of 3 I believe on both the before and after runs. I know my car is VERY consistent, and you really wont gain over 4RWHP even with a cool down....so it at LEAST made 7 or 8 hp.

He actually wasnt offering teh CAI for the GTs becuase it didnt do anything to the power, using the same method of dyno before/after...maybe he refined it
