JLT RAI. According to the owners last comment i heard, the CAI kit doesnt make much of any power. the RAI is the one that made like 12RWHP on a bolton GT. Im almost 100% sure that was vs a K&N dropin. The runs were on the same day, best of 3 I believe on both the before and after runs. I know my car is VERY consistent, and you really wont gain over 4RWHP even with a cool down....so it at LEAST made 7 or 8 hp.

He actually wasnt offering teh CAI for the GTs becuase it didnt do anything to the power, using the same method of dyno before/after...maybe he refined it

Anyone know where to get this JLT thing, i have never seen it before, i thought the cold air competition was the Cnl True Flow System vs the KnL cold air

FIPK is, simply because they don't lie and call their kit Ram Air, when it totally isn't.

Pull the headlight out...then it sure as heck is. .

But I think it has something to do with the design...I dont give a crap anyways, all I know is that it WORKS and it makes power. And RAI sounds better than CAI. When I think of CAI, I see a shiny yet useless Mac fenderwell kit .

I went with K&N FIPK only a couple comments after install this weekend, performance wise seams good.
However install was a bit of a pain in the neck you need to do a bit of force it here and there to get it set in and the brackets didn't not fit properly on mine so I am only using one. Also I am not sure how the things seals properly but still sounds good.

I install the same K&N FIPK and had all same problems but kept both brackets and use heat hose to protect the A/C line from the bottom bracket. I am still worry and may remove it too.
I wrote K&N and they never responded. I even gave them design change ideas. Oil fill cap is now a pain too. Glad I am not only one with problems

PS how is your 5 speed?

Yes 5 speed and it's great since we also added a BBK 75mm TB & P combo and the same time, what a major boost in power and sound is really sweet now. I have been told in sounds like a NASCAR racer now when I get on the gas

Yes, and post your opinions please. I am still wanting to hear from someone that JUST put on the JLT RAI, and no other mods. See how much of a difference you will see . Maybe you can do a before/after dyno . Like maybe even install the plenum/TB, and leave the stock air intake. Get it dynoed, and then put on the JLT while its strapped down to the dyno. If you pre assemble it, along with the heat shield...you can pop the old one off, and it on, in about 3-5 minutes if that. Bring back up to full temp (let it idle for a minute) and then run it again. Just a thought lol.

The JLT because it offers 1 hp and the K & N intake only offers .5

j/k! I like the look of the JLT and since I can't imagine any of these kits adding much horsepower, that's why I'd choose the JLT if I had money burning a hole in my pocket.
