Jumpy speedometer needle

Hey guys and gals. This is defintely a new symptom for my car. Whenever im cruising VERY slowly (leaving from a stop to say 8mph), the speedo needle will sporatically jump very quickly to about 20-35mph and then drop again. Sometimes it does it in traffic and other times in a scenario like a parking lot when the car is moving extremely slow. But not everytime
Any clues?

I noticed it after i replaced my transmission fluid. When i did so, i refilled it by removing the shifter and filling from the top, and im thinking that when i moved my speedcal around and re-installed the shifter and metal gasket, etc i might have pinched one of the wires or something or just lossened it. Is this possible?

id say its a speedcal thing... connection or somethin.. on the drivers side of the tranny is where the speed sender is.. i would prolly check the connection there too..
