i just wondering how how many fox guy that still have 2.73 in the back. when they get on it in the 1-2 shift they spin there tries a little bit, more then just a cherp. just trying to gauge about how much power my 88 has. i know that my 89 had 212 rwhp and if i remember right it was 307 in rwtq and it would only just cherp in second and not chearp very well. i wasnt able to take the 89 to the track after the mods were put on to create those numbers. so i dont know what it ran . and cant run the 88 till i get a sun roof i think. well thanks for any imput you can give me.

Yeah, my 87 still has everything stock except 2 Chamber Flows.. If I power shift I can turn the back tires a bit, more then a chirp.. But its hard to tell if its only one or both, my trac-loc is really tired too....

I have a ton of parts for the car but I am waiting to do the build-up till I get my new house with the shop.... Crossing my fingers, with any luck that will be by the end of June....

Well in that case, no I cannot get any rubber with a hard shift, I have to power shift to get any rubber... I am not to worried about breaking anything with a stock set up and stock tire size with crummy tires.. I don't think there is enough stick or grunt in my current set-up to hurt it..

With the 393 set-up I am going to do the straight cut, dog ring T-5 conversion... So all the stock T-5 internals are going away anyhow...

I would agree on the tires as well. Mine are fairly old, and if I lay on it pretty hard in first, then make a quick shift into to second and stand on it the car chirp or (most of the time) will feel like it is hooked solid but will start to peel loose after rpms start to climb in second - surprised me a few times getting on the freeway. And of course, this is in a 160k, stock '89 GT...by no means a beast.
