Just beat an STI

Hey guys i jsut beat an STI from a stop. Pretty much i jumped in front in first and by the time i hit second he was at my rear bumper and then little by little i started pulling, I finaly one by like a car and a half. I actually over powered him. When we got to the enxt light he was liek dam that thing is quick im soo excited i was like shaking. I reall though he was goin to smoke me. My mods are as follwed

borla exaust
off road h pipe
bbk shorty headers

65 mm throttle body
73 mm mas air
24 lb injectors

373 gears
sub fram connectors

and toyo tires thanx to these tires i got the nice hook
14 degree timing

was it a wrx that had a wing and other stuff to look like a STI? just asking cause those thing are vbery fast.. did he mess up driving?

i think those things are in the low 13's

no it was an sti, it had all the sti badging and evrything,a nd even when we came to a stop he was in whoa. he was like holy crap man that thing is fast.

well i hate to get into this but my buddy has an sti with just an aftermarket blow off valve, and at the track his best was a 13.3 with a passenger .....but his worst was a 14.6 so i could see u beating him if he had a bad launch and didnt know how to shift properly.....

good kill man i cant wait to get back to my stang. I was looking at your mods, how is the 75 mm Throttle Body, 73 mm C and L Mass Air Meter with 24 lb injectors working out for you. would i need to do the injectors at the same time. your internals are stock right?

thats awsome, my brother noes a kid that wants to race him with a wrx, its not sti, but my bros 5.0 only has flowmasters and a mac cold air intake, those things are quick and all wheel drive they can just push the gas down and drop the clutch and fly

Cool kill. Ya I've raced quite a few brand new STI's out around my area, (no clue where these kids are gettin' the money.... well actually I know exactly where lol) they are pretty fast, but so far I haven't gotten beat by an STI, I'm just waiting to pull up to one with an upgraded turbo and crap tho....

STi's get their crazy acceleration by basically launching off the limiter... assuming it was a REAL STi, chances are he bogged badly. It was driver error on his part.

My suggestion would be not to judge how fast your car is by comparing it to cars random cars you come accross on the street. take it to the track so we can put a time to the car.

must have been that specialy pulley turbo he had on there?
