Well my 99 GT is gone, long story but it was totaled in a 1 car wreck with
a gaurd rail, only me in the car and didnt get a scratch.
State Farm soon after cut me a check for retail NADA value so I came out
satisfied. I found a 04 GT with only 8k miles on it which seems really low.
I saw the former owners name on the title and gave him a call, I got it from
Carmax. Looks to be in perfect condition, but it has "Nexan" 245 45 tires on it.
Did those come stock on GT's. Former owner says car was never in an accident. Also is it posible to wind back the mileage. Some of my friends
think the deal is too good to be true.

Nexen tires are Korean I believe, and they did not come stock on 04 GT's. They may work well for daily driving, but dont go the the track with them, they suck.

As far as rolling back the odometer, get a CarFax report on the car ASAP. If he had a tuner he could have F'd with the mileage.

Congrats on the new ride man, enjoy it :nice:

What's the color? Any mods planned yet?

Its yellow, not my favorite color but Im starting to like it, The dealer where it was towed to let me get some of my parts back off the car. I did drive
the 99 home, no problem. I then took off my chrome cobra wheels and put back the stockers. Next day I took some tools to the dealers lot and
got my CAI, Ford racing 70mm TB, C&L plenum, Optima battery, Brushed aluminum fuel door, replaced back all stock parts. Took about 1 hour.
Had to leave exhaust. and UD pullies. I will put every thing on the 04.

Yeah dont know why those tires are on it though, I think I will definatly
get the carfax report.

8k miles isn't out of the ordinary. May have been a weekend driver. Bought my 04 with 22k miles. Goodyear Gatorbacks were stock tires.

Without knowing how much you paid, hard to tell if you got a good deal. 04 with those miles would probably sell for about 20k at the dealers around here.

Could be previous owner had aftermarket rims and put some all weather tires on the stockers. Did you notice if the NExen's are all weather or snow tires?

Yellow wasn't my top choice either, but it has definetely grown on me and gets a lot of looks.

Yellow is the bestest. :D
Also might be a possiblity that the car had some nice rims and the other owner traded them for stocker's. But I'd talk to him and find out there is no GOOD reason for the goodyears to have already been changed with only 8k on the car.

I gave $18,999. for it, No signs of any abuse at all, the car is near mint cond.
Original owner says he bought it for his wife but she did not like the sound
or the power.State Farm gave me $9800. for the 99 which I used most of
for the down payment.
