Just bought a 98 Contour SVT. Immaculate condition, the guy who owned her was a customs pilot and was anal retentive and keeping up the car, beautiful condition.
That being said, tonight I was in reverse (the contours have one hell of a blind spot) and backed into a concrete post in a gas station parking lot. There is little to no cosmetic damage, you cant even tell I hit anything, but the back left wheel is pushed foward almost rubbing on the front of the wheel well. When it first happened it was rubbing the wheel well but I popped it in first and the jerk took it about an inch off the front of the well. it doesnt wobble or anything, it pulls slightly to the right, but its so slight I cant tell if thats how it was when I bought it or not. I pray to god there is no frame damage, nothing serious, I cant afford to pay for it if there is, I bought the car yesterday damnit.
I find myself wondering why the posts are even there, they aren't protecting anything, there is nothing behind them, they are arbitrarily placed along the curb. Any ideas on what might be wrong?

Your driving skills?

j/k

Seriously, that really sucks. Take it to a shop and get it aligned and get them to check the frames.

Probably bent a rear end piece...take it to an alignment shop, they'll be happy to tell you what it needs...as well as try to sell it to you.
