dont waste money on a cold air intake. $400 for an aluminized catback is way too much, you can get a brand new magnaflow catback thats all stainless steel for around $359.

There is installation included in that price.

OP, install the exhaust yourself. A cat back and a H-pipe are the two easiest things to install the require you to turn a wrench. You can save yourself $100+ in labor and if its your first time it will take you 1.5 hours including gettin the car in the air.
Do they do smog testing where you live?

I wouldn't touch the paint if it is clean. My friend has a yellow 04 Cobra and it looks great.

As for mods, I have quite a few but if I had to pick in terms of importance, I'd say a drop (springs) first. Stock my car had a bigger wheel gap than an explorer.

I talked to this guy at an exhaust shop. He said $400 for the flowmaster catback exhaust system 2 1/2 inch aluminum pipes and that includes labor and everything. He said it would be another $100 if i wanted stainless steel. Anyways I was looking at mid pipes on Mustang Parts & Performance - American Muscle and they all say that they either require long tube or shorty headers. I want to know which High Flow H pipe or X pipe would fit my stock headers. I dont want to spend the money on headers to. Thanks for all the help so far guys. One more thing. If you get a cold air intake, should you also buy a 70mm throttle body also?

Flows got a good name with the 5.0s , but with the 4.6 you wasting your time buying aluminized flows, 400 is a ripoff , you pay for what you get , save your cash , spend alittle more and get a better sounding exhaust and install it yourself , its one of the easy mods to do yourself , as for cold air, easy to find a used one on craigslist for really cheap , and no you dont need a 70mm T/B with that !

Do not get an intake. A waste of money for sure. Get some gears and under drive pulleys/ Timing adjuster. Get exhaust for the sound not performance, unless you are getting a full exhaust including long tubes. OR buy a supercharger and be done with it.

Also, unless you want to spend some serious cash to change your paint and have it look good, You better learn to live with Yellow.
