Just change my Diff fluid and....

I just changed my diff fluid, also my wheel bearings cause one went bad (210,000km or 136,000miles) and I used 80w90 motorcraft gear oil with 4oz Friction Modifier.

At my ford dealership, there system says to run 80w90 but every single forum i just read in says to run 75w-140 cause in 2001 there was a change.

Will I have any problems???

that’s what i think too. I mean, what’s the difference between my 1996 8.8, a 2001, 2004, 2008 8.8” diff right???

also i’m inn canada where half the year is summer only

you probably wont have issues but my theory is why risk with cheap things. I mean were talking about 40-50 bucks in fluid for the 75-140 and a couple bucks in rtv or 10 bucks for a gasket. so 60 bucks and a half an hours time for piece of mind, ill take that lol

but im super paranoid I hate probably's or should be's so thats just me
