Ok the question is do all you know your car number (bumper number)
Ok the other day when I went to go dyno my car I met a guy at the shop that had a saleen also, we started BS about the cars and I asked him what his car number was, and he gave the blank stare like what the hell are you talking about, well any way he had no clue so he called his wife and got it that way. So I guess his car was missing the one that is on the bumper but still I think you should know what number car you have.

98-130. Some people aren't so much into cars like we are, did he seem like a real car guy when you visited with him?

no he just seem like a real rich guy that likes to brag because he kept telling me he has 4 corvetes and he races them and one of them is producing like 800hp and topped out at 205mph but he does none of the work him self.

Well, that seems like a plausible reason why the guy had no clue.

Mine is easy to remember but it doesn't matter what it is. I would never forget something like the production number.

exactly i do not see how you can buy a numbered car and not know the number. This guy did not even know that there was suppose to be a number on the bumper

I can see him not remembering the number if it were a new car or if he IS rich and has a car collection. But not knowing that his car was numbered or even worse not knowing that there's a number on the bumper is pretty sad.

There is no way I would ever forget either of my bumper numbers......damn, let me take a look first. Stinking 46 year old memory. I'm just glad I remembered to buy gas today.

Wow Robert, Your 2 S351's #11 and #01 Really move for how little HP they have according to their Bumper Number! Also, 11 mph & 1 mph, that would get a little expensive putting around!

Speaking of Bumper Numbers, last week on the way home from work I stopped in at a local grocery store and Wow, right in front of me parked was a Beautiful Brand New Silver 2006 Saleen S281 SC Vert with the owner getting out of his car to go into the store! So, I quickly caught up with him to ask him how he liked his New ride, to ask questions about the car and to talk to him about joining the SCOA South West Region! He told me that he got this car as an Early Surprise Valentines Day/ 25th Anniversary gift from his wife! He didn't even ask for that type of car either, he said that she picked it out because she thought it was pretty! Wife's take notes and hints here, That's One Lucky Guy! Anyways, he didn't know much about the car and didn't remember or even notice the front bumper number till we walked out together to look at it! Am I missing something here How can one not notice that number??? Well, I guess all Saleen owners aren't obsessed with these things like we are! At least I had the chance to Give him just a little bit of Information on these cars!
