Well, I just got done with the swap and I must say it was not as bad as I would have thought. Everything went together just fine with no leaks. The only real pointer I have to give is to make sure to use a great deal of RTV around the ports facing into the valley of the block. Still the only real issue I ran into was getting the stock coolant tube unbolted from the back of the head. Because it has two bolts that run right between the firewall and the back of the driver’s side head that just made it hell to get out. But after everything is said and done, I am really happy I made the swap, and would highly recommend it. There is a huge SOTP difference in the power ranging from about 2,500 - 5,500 RPMs; witch really helps out because that’s where the stock intake just seemed to run out of breath. Here is a list of all the parts I used in the swap.....

*PI intake manifold: Picked it up from www.Stangstore.com
*NPI intake manifold gasket: XW7Z-9439-AA
*Thermostat housing o-ring: F1VY-8507-A
*Heater/coolant tube: XR3Z-18B402-AA
*Water pump nipple: F75Z-8555-AA
*Water pump o-ring: F1VY-8255-A
*Thermostat housing bolts: N811011-S309
I also went ahead and put all new spark plugs and coolant hoses on at the same time.

did you feel any SOTP feeling after the install cause my buddy has a 97 vert and its dog slow and he doesn't have the money to do the heads and the cams so i was think he should just do the PI intake swap for some more horses and to get him out of the 15.5 et zone what do you guys think.

I think it passed the SOTP test.

Was there any issues with swapping the crossovers? I have a NPI intake with the aluminum crossover and would rather swap it than tap the other one on the PI.

How does the port size/shape of the new intakes match with the head? Bigger smaller or different shape?

This was exactly what I did when I did my headswap. I had the aluminum crossover from the cracked intake recall. I just unbolted it from the non-pi intake and it bolted right up to the pi intake. I didnt have to touch any of the sensors or worry about tapping the new one, since they just swapped over.

The intake was like $200 and all the parts I pick up from ford (a lot of them you don't need) came to about another $100. Although you could probably do the whole swap for about $250 safely.
