I just took my car to the shop to have a custom roll bar, full length subframe connectors installed and the torque boxes welded.. Man I hate leaving my car somewhere. All I can do is sit here, and worry. I usually do all my installs myself but this was beyond me.

I wonder how much it will help my et's?

Thanks, but it's going to make my car heavier.

Sweet post pics of the roll bar when you get it back. Im looking into one, is that all you need to run at thetrack or do you need a full cage?

I think its goes like this. Shoot me if I'm wrong lol.

This for a hard top

11.49-10.99= 6 point
10.99-10.49 =8 point

I think.

After that it goes to 10 point then finally a 12. I have idea when each comes into play.

I'm having a 6 point put in right now. The shop said they would make it an 8 point for 200 more later if I need it, and they can keep adding on until its a 12 which I would never need lol.

Please ask me how much my supercharger cost

I didn't weld anything on my ic lol. I just used a dremal and whacked the pipes. But id can get them welded then of course that's better.

The subframes I'm getting are custom made at the shop.

If I go to the 8 point I will get the swing out door bars to help a little with getting in and out. Well I hope my 60's are better than a 1.66 which is my best so far.

Thats what I was thinking about. I've been in cars with cages and it sucks getting out of them. The swing outs would be nice, more expensive but worth the money.

I would get it painted black or silver. You dont want bare steel.

Powercoated silver would look awesome in my car

I cant wait to have enough power to have to get a cage! BTW, dont you have to run a 6pt if you have slicks @ 12.49? I thought I saw that the last time I was looking at the NHRA rules?

I know you have to have a drive shaft loop. I dont think any cage is required untill you break 11.49 unless you have a vert.

Yes it's a 11.49 for the 6 point is the only thing I know. No one has said anything to me yet. You need a ds loop for slicks.

I just called him, and decided to go to an 8 point with swing out door bars, instead of a 6 point cage. Yippie for heavy steel bars!
