i got a 97 cobra on trade for my fox. when i drive it and slow down to like 1,500 2k rpm the car revs back up as if i downshifted but i didnt. Is this an IMRC problem? And what exactly does it do?

my 98 cobra does the same thing. Im sure the imrc's are part of the problem, but i think a vacuum leak can also be part of the problem. I've tried to get answers on here lately about it but I never get a reply. Try Moddedmustangs.
