Dropped my car off sat for them to finally figure out why it wont start. The tech called me this morning after looking at the car for less than an hour and told me exactly what I expected to hear. The PCM itself is bad. He said he would call me back after he verify's that is really the problem and let me know how much its going to cost. Just wondering if anyone can give me an idea how much it should cost. Anyone had to replace theirs before? Any help is appreciated.

thanks,

J

If you're talking about the EEC-IV, don't buy it through the dealership. They quoted me $500+ for one, so I just got a working one through eBay for $60.

Ouch $500? Yeah that is pretty steap. I will have to see if I can find one elsewhere. Anyone have a stock computer for a 94 gt AODE they want to sell?

Thanks for the offers guys but they just called and told me it will be $375 for the computer (they keep calling it the PCM) so I told them to just go ahead and order it. Should be here in a couple of days. man it will be nice to have my car back. Time to get some 275's mounted on the rear.

Apparently my ex-husband made that mistake.

I'm fairly certain I have a U4P0 sitting around, I did the 5spd conversion a year ago and nobody bought it.

Email me at jasonweg@comcast.net, gotta find it but I can garuntee you that if I have it I can beat the dealer's price.

Confirm its the U4P0 first, and not the W4H0.

Isnt the PCM out on the radiator? If so I have one you can have for the shipping only. I am in a giving mood tonight. You pay the shipping and only when you receive the package. It is the black box that hangs on the bracket on the side of the radiator above the ABS system. I may be wrong but I thought this was a PCM. I already sold the computer from this car. I offered another stanger a new tie rod end tonight cause I had one that I never got to install before the salvage. Anyone need anything else.

That's the CCRM outside the radiator. PCM is inside the cabin, if you were sitting shotgun it would be to the right of your right foot.
