Let me say a few things I've noticed about this pull

The shape of the curves looks very nice

Why mph was used instead of rpm I'd not know

I did look at the conversion formula provided by Bullitt95
so
A thank you goes out to you Sir

If indeed you do take MPH and multiply by 49.53 then I see the
300 pounds of rwtq from about 2800 to 5700 rpm which was
pointed out above

Also using that same formula it looks like peak power is made
and starts to drop off at around 5700 rpm

Now ... I got some Q's I wanna ask our original poster Mr. 96darkhorse

Don't take my Q's in the wrong way
I'm not trying to be ...
critical
crying out foul
being accusatory
or anything negative like that

Allow me to say these results are at the very top of the average

So ... I gotta be wondering
what makes this kind of thing happen :Word:

Therefore ... I can't be anything but inquisitive

Here are my comments and Questions

Comment first

I've seen SEVERAL ... top of the average ....
pulls from that Huntington Beach place

Now for the questions

Was no belt used
Was short belt used
Was excessive rear tire pressure used
Was the intake iced
Was the motor allowed to cool way down before the best pull

In general ... Was anything done to enhance the values of the pull

Again ... I'm N O T saying I don't believe

I A M saying ...........

These results definitely are an exception to the trends I've seen

ok grady here goes......

the motor is no 306 and no worked heads....just plain bottom end 302 from factory.....heads are unported tfs heads, unported eddy intake, cam was actually given by a buddy that had it grined for these heads(he had tfs heads as well).....icing the intake?LOL come on! we did a total of 10 pulls that whole morning...with no more than 10 mins in between of pulls....no excessive tire pressure used. my car is just a plain street car, nothing is enhanced...my car has always overachieved.....i dynoed 225/292 (dynoed at superior in anaheim) with just full exhaust....just that.....I dynoed 252/306 (dynoed at GTR in Rancho Cucamonga) with full bolt ons and an eddy performer 5.0 intake....and at that time people didint believe it.......i think i could of had more power than 324 if we simply just uped the timing....what i notice sometimes about people is that when somebody does more than normal, some people dont believe it....all cars are different and just bcus one out does others, doesent mean it cant happen....i was actually expecting people to question my numbers but thats ok....i know alot of guys here hog out their heads, hog out their intake, put in alot of money into their combo and sometimes dont even hit 300 rwhp, so i truly understand when people dont believe these type of numbers, but it is what it is, i guess.

stephen at powertrain dynamics in hb, socal KNOWS mustangs especially 5.0s....he does atleast, ATLEAST 30 stangs a month....and thats on a bad month. he does all the tuning for GTR in rancho cucamonga, Johnny Lightning in corona, for chicane in torrance, and many other shops that i forgot from the top of my head, he knows his $hit......i understand your suspicions grady but no trickery here, sorry.....and just for that, i bet i can squeeze more power from it!

ill be the first to 350 rear wheel........yeah right

Actually I've already seen at least one naturally-aspirated 302 put down over 350rwhp. One example was similar to yours except for the cam and intake which put down 352/344. I suspect it would have been soft below 3000rpm though.

i was just messin about 350 rwhp yeah that fellow must of had no low end, or atleast it would be really soft like you stated......for 350rwhp i would never trade it off for low end power

Thank you Sir
For setting the record straight

I will say I've seen some cars in my past that were just quicker
Than most and while it is uncommon ... Yes ... That can happen

I can say only one other similar combo yielded results as high as
you have done here with 326 and 341 on a dj and SAE cal

Now ... there always has to be two extreme ends of things to
obtain an average

What really sux is if you find yourself on the other end of that extreme

I'm glad for you ... You're on the best side of things with your car

btw ... you got any data showing the rpm values for your pull
