Just got back from Reno.. (Pics.. no 56k)

drove there last Tuesday to get a little bit of a vacation

i picked the wrong day to make the trip..

Highway CA-89.. wasn't plowed, had fresh snow, no gravel..etc...
Yep, almost died near the summit before susanville. That's about when i put the camera down and had to focus more on driving

and finally a clearing

anyway. it was an adventure. On the way there, it was 650 miles.. even through the snow, my end MPG was 24.5

the way back, i got 26.1MPG

My brother just bought an '05 GTO as well and at 80mph going from Woodland Hills to Oxnard he got 26.7mpg.....asswhole.

If the damn doors would open further I would be VERY tempted to buy one but being paralyzed and needing doors that open wide to get my wheelchair in and out it makes it a bit too hard.

So how did the car handle in the snow?

it handled like **** on the snowpacked road. anything over 35mph and you could feel the car drifting. Having a manual, it was pretty tough to climb the hills without much traction. I was carrying chains, but the chain areas, shoulders, and rest areas were entirely packed with snow! (for the times that chains were necessary, not like where i took the picture)

the wet stuff wasn't too bad though
