what would be the best for a 02gt auto i do mostly street driving and some highway. 410s or 373 also how much would ford charge me to put them in?

4.10s for sure...I don't know what Ford charges, but I'd expect to pay about $200 in labor at any shop...it's pretty involved and needs to be done properly or those new gears will eat each other...!
Be sure they use a HIGH QUALITY gear oil, such as Royal Purple. You don't really chg this stuff often, so you want to go with the best. If they don't use RP, go to the store yourself and buy some, and deliver it to them...it'll be worth it, trust me.

if you cruise more than race 373 is a better gear for u youll have more punch & wont kill your gas mil

if you don't do alot of highway driving get 4.56's unless you plan on getting a supercharger or something. i don't care what anyone else says on this forum i love them. pulls hard in every gear and with a decent set of tires i have no problems hooking up. i had 4.10's and they where alright. I just wanted a little more.

what is ya'lls MPH topped out in drive (not o/d) with the 4:10s and 4:56s. mine with 3:73s turns almost 3k at 75-80 mph and i cnat run but about 120 i believe

Only way you would be getting back $300 is if you are not filing your own taxes and someone is claiming you as their dependent. If you file taxes as single, you should be getting $600.

I hear a lot of people say 4.10's but i drive mostly highway and would swear by 3.73's idk but you my get tired of revving so high on the highway with 4.10's. If i didn't have so many highways around me i'd get 4.10's but with gas prices rising our cars are bad enough.

my car in 5th gear at 70 mph runs at 2900 rpms. i have a 4.56 rear and a t-45 trans with a 68% or 67% (can't remember which) overdrive. automatic OD is 70% so rpms wll be a little higher than that.

not sure what 4th gear is at 70 but i can't do much more than 96 mph in 4th. auto 3rd gear is the same as my 4th gear so figure from there.

like i said earlier i had 4.10's and liked them but 4.56's are much better for my application. and if i remember right my car ran around 2500 rpms in 5th with the 4.10's so not much difference.

and for 02nightmaregt if you have a mustang why are you worried about gas mileage. get and old beater like i did that gets 28 mpg like my $500 93 grand am
