I took ownership of my dad's 96 gt convertible today. He bought it new in 96 and it only has 65K on it and has always been in the garage. I have been ordering parts over the last month and will begin the installation next weekend. Here's a list of what all will be done in the next couple weeks:

Intake
70mm tb
magnaflow cat-back
MM subframe connectors
Steeda Tri-Ax
Slotted rotors
17x9 & 17x10.5 chrome bullitts
Eibach pro kit

Next up will be:
PI head swap
3.73's
lt's
x pipe

What do you all think of the mods. Good direction or bad??

Pretty standard mod list. It will definitely put some oats in your horse.

I know. I did some research and these seemed to be the best mods. My goal is to keep it simple. Eventually I will put a blower on it, but that will take some time to get the cash.

everything looks good except for the 70tb. You don't need it and it won't help your car. For the same price, get an x-h pipe and get real gains and great sound.

Good luck!

I appreciate the feedback. I was going to wait and get the h pipe at the same time I do the head swap and lt's, which hopefully will be in a couple months.

I've done 2 PI headswaps, and it's not worth it unless you open up the heads and go with cams. Just depends on what you want. The PI cam/intake swap is a great bargain and will get you within 10-15hp of the entire stock PI swap, save you a lot of dough, especially if you are not doing the labor.

Another option, is to work the stock NPI heads and add cams. You can get NPI heads for about 50-100 bucks for both heads.

If I had an Aero, the first thing I would do would be a full PI swap, then bolt-ons.

I apploud you for actually searching before posting

Very nice list you have there...do yourself a favor and put in a new clutch when you do the long tubes Becuase eventually you will need one, so might as well do it when you have it all done and out

Congrats dude! I'll bet your all grins today! Thats a good jumpstart on the mods too. I also agree about changing the clutch before the LT's, you may even want to swap the starter or when you do the lt's take out the top screw of the starter so if it goes out on you it won't be such a pita to change Ohand uh

I appreciate the feedback from everyone. I will definetely take the advice and replace the clutch once I am ready to do the long tubes. I will post some before and after pictures in the next couple of weeks.
