Thank ya! Gauges were about 550. I did all Electrical gauges too. Lots and lots of wires.. beware. lol Well worth it though. It was definately cool that I was able to use the stock gauge cover... The wood grain is pimp. heh. But ya, talk about an acurate MPH reading...

I like the gauges too, and was just gonna ask you how much you paid for them. Boy that sure is pricy....don't think I can afford those at this point. Did you shop around at all...if so what were some other prices you saw?

Thanks,

Well the most expensive gauge is the speedo.. It's 200 dollars. You can get a mechanical that works off of gears just like the stock one, but it's pointless. This one you can program it for any gear ratio, and any tire size. The tach was 100... And the other 4 varied from 40-60 bucks. I got them all from Summit Racing... They had the best prices.

Nother Q(s)....

How was the gauge install, and would you recommend trying to find used gauges?

Thanks for the help.

It took about 3-4 hours. I dunno what year Stang you have, but with the 79-86... You can use the 2 1/16th gauges for fuel level, volts, water temp, oil pressure... You just need to massage the holes a little bigger and the slip tightly in.. As far as the speedo and tach goes... I made a back plate as the 3 3/8ths tach and speedo were too small, but the 5 inch was way to big. The backing plate is wood actually... painted black so you can't see it. There is a lot of wiring involved, I believe 18-20 wires, power and ground for light for each gauge, and the signal wire. It was pretty straight forward.. As long as you're good at wiring.

As far as buying used gauges... I guess you could do that... You just never know if you're getting a working gauge, or how good of a condition... I dunno... I don't like buying used anything. Also, you'd have to find all the same gauges, all electrical, all the same size.. I dunno... I would think with all the shipping costs it would be about the same.

Cool man thanks, do you recommend them? I need some stuff done here and there. And did you fix the Speedometer problem that you were having, because I have a 1994 GT auto and I want 4.10's as well.

Cool man thanks, I live in Boston so thats like 45 minutes away. I don't know any places around here that do stuff like that, I guess I'll have to give them a call. Did you buy it and they installed it or did they have it?
