Just HOW BAD are the Prof Products TBs???

I'd say that they're second in quality to Accufab.

accufab's quality isn;t that great, sure they polish up nice but of the three I've owned two only opened 85% at the blade, took some modifing like most bolt on's to open fully.

Holley's the best I've yet to see.

Because you can get a 70mm on eBay for like $110 shipped... that's nuts.

almost as bad as their typhoon intakes. no offence to any of the Prof-Prad users, but why would you put CHINESE parts on youre american car. (thats right, chinese, not even japenese)

if you drive an "american car" your driving a car chuck full of imported goods(that includes GM, ford, chrysler). Now I hope your not indicating that you don't like products simply because the've come from China..that would just be sad really.

hey rednotch...

I just got my accufab and it only opens about 90% too. I was wondering if this had anything to do with keeping airflow from going over the through shaft that the butterfly bolts to. I realize it's easy to grind away the stop until it's 100% open, but then you'll have airflow going directly into that shaft, where now it's diverted.

Any thoughts on this?

well, it's their quality too. my buddy has a typhoon intake from them, and i remember him haveing problems with it sealing, fitment issues, etc... and it's not just him, it's people from this board too. im sorry, i just don't like them. and the fact that they are made in china just kinda makes me uncomfterable. i know what you said dman, but i still don't dig em.

My polished "Ford Racing" cobra intake says "Made in China" stamped right on the bottom of the lower.

It looks nice, but as far as quality is concerned i've had nothing but problems with it. (oil throught the pcv)

Made in China = :notnice:

I'm not always successful but if there's a clear choice between a part made here and one made overseas then I'll definitely take the part made here... even if it means spending a little more.

Me too...I try to support the CAn/US economy as best as possible when ever possible, just sometimes the 'we hate cause your not from here' mentality gets to me, especially being the parent of a little one from that region..guess I'm just a little touchy bout that in my old age. :)
