I've been to the track a million times, but i dont talk to a lot of people there unless i know someone....just wondering how much power you guys think it takes to pull a wheel stand? I know you can run 13s and still yank "one" tire off, but i'm talking a full on wheelie.

Sure, it's about more than just power, like the suspension and traction, but speaking on power alone?

my buddy russ' 69 camaro is probably in the 375 hp range and he can yank both off the ground by about a couple of inches. he had big block springs up front and worn out stock (or stock replacement) springs in the back.

I yank both of mine with around 300 rwhp. Lots of traction and high rpm launches. Stout suspension and frame connectors help. 3000 lbs

It doesnt take a fixed amount of power to lift the wheels. Some high 12 second(~300hp) cars lift and some mid-7 second(~1200+hp) cars dont. It depends on how you set it up. If you do everything you can to reduce your 60ft times, you'll end up pulling the front wheels. You need traction no matter what, but a lower power car will need alot more gear than one with the power too.
