Just installed March underdrives

Hey I just wanted to post and say I am very impressed with the March underdrive pulleys a friend and myself put on tonight. They are top notch quality and have no idling issues or amperage issues. My car also accelerates much easier in overdrive with no hesitation. It used to hesitate quite a bit if I tried to accelerate slowly. In case anyone is interested the part # is mch-2015 which are preferred for automatics or higher amperage cars.

Good choice with those. I have the same ones and like them a lot. I had an automatic and had the power and amp ones but now my car is standard. I just wish they wouldn't have been so expensive. Plus the March power steering pulley was $75.

You do realize the initial cause of the hesitation is still there..your changing of a few pullies will not fix a non pully problem. You should pull the codes and try a full tuneup.

pulleys rock! i went the ebay route with mine, but you can always tell the difference, tied and true mod i'd say!

I did a tune up in August 05 and I don't have any codes bc my uncle checked my computer when I had a check engine light on and it turned out that the egr wasn't plugged in completely.

Yeah they were expensive but oh well you get what you pay for and these look great. Where did you get your power steering pulley from?

When I put my March pulleys on I dropped .1 seconds and gained 1 mph at the track. And that is from doing multiple runs so i know it wasnt just a fluke.

You still need to find the cause of the hesitation...correcting that will be of bigger gain than any bolt on part.

I don't know what it could be though because I changed the fuel filter and had the fuel system flushed.

Could be as simple as incorrect TPS setting, check the see if TPS voltage increases smoothly from .9v (or where ever yours is set)-4.5 volts at WOT. Next if no codes and the car hesitates I'd also look to hooking up a fuel pressure gauge to see if pressuer is falling off anywhere in the RPM range. There is a reason and usually it's not a big deal to fix..hesitation is most often a result of a bad sensor reading, fuel delivery problem, or spark interruption (like the TFI module.)

I'd also be looking around for vac leaks. I mean... the lines in your car are now only 16 years old.
